Nicky Smith, aka Weirdcore, is a rare breed of director with a truly unique visual style. Through years of developing his own analogue and digital effect processes, he has become known as a true innovator, never failing to come up with something completely new for each project. Their unconventional shows together push the boundaries of live visuals by feeding video through Weirdcore's custom software to intentionally corrupt the images, emerging as a hectic, responsive visual element that has become a significant part of the Aphex Twin experience. A specially developed process was conceived to allow the artist's face to be superimposed onto the faces of members of the audience in a live feed, gaining much attention from fans and other creatives eager to see the effect in action. weirdcore.tv |
